A prospective applicant prepares a preliminary application that also serves as
a general release, so we can perform all the necessary background checks,
inquiries, and substance abuse tests permitted under law. There are no
exceptions. If the applicant passes the initial screening they then become a
qualified candidate and they will be fingerprinted and interviewed for
experience as well as personality traits to determine the assignment for which
they are most suited. While the candidate is sent to school training, all
references and pertinent information is checked and verified. In addition, a
criminal name check is then conducted and upon approval, the candidate
receives a State Identification Number and is ready for assignment. Our
security officers are a “cut” above the industry standard. Our interview and
qualification process ensures that we engage highly qualified and responsible
individuals who are serious about long-term employment. Ultimately, our
ability to procure a high-caliber employee has been due to a proven ability to
keep turnover at a minimum. This low turnover has allowed MSI to remain
consistently selective through our screening process.
Our screening process is detailed and selective. All prospective employees
go through an intensive background check, drug abuse screening and
psychological testing. Roughly one in ten applicants meet our screening
criteria. Each applicant’s file is reviewed by our Human Resources Division to
ensure their acceptability prior to the final review by our management
personnel.

management representative will meet with you to develop a profile which will
include the skills and characteristics of the type of individual to be assigned
to your facility. A three step comprehensive interview procedure is utilized by
MSI and is supplemented by a Prospect Screening test that tests for a
prospect's suitability.
